Architecture Art Bconnectedmallorca Exclusive Interior Design Investment Real Estate Secret MarketingAs we approach Christmas Day, there is nothing we love more to spend our evenings browsing the magical Christmas markets that there are spread around the island. Some that have been and gone and others that stay open until the Three Kings holiday on the 6thJanuary.
A family favourite is the Christmas Market in Pueblo Español which is held inside the walls of the traditional Spanish Village that’s a monument in the heart of Palma that has kept its charm throughout the years. Many stalls fill up the maze like, cobbled pathways inside the symbolic building. Live music was held most evenings and if you were lucky you might have even caught some of the artificial snow falling from the skies, truly making it a Christmassy affair.
The Alaró Christmas market was another one of our favourites, a drive a way from the city but definitely worth it. Strolling through the pretty streets of Alaró you start the here live music which could be a local band of children each on a different instrument or traditional songs that set the scene as you browse through the stalls filled with local food such as Churros with warm chocolate which is the typical sweet that Mallorcans enjoy around Christmas time, crispy fried donut like sticks that once dipped into warm chocolate are a delight to the senses.

Puerto Portals Christmas Market, which opened this week on the 18th December is truly a festive experience that you cannot miss. Where fairy lights light up the port and wooden stalls line the streets with top class gastronomy.
With plenty of international choice of food or shopping for Christmas gifts, you’ll be able to enjoy a stroll or glass of gluhwein, listening to beautiful tunes and watch the world go by. There are also plenty of activities set up for the kids such as face painting, arts & crafts as well as a mini ice skating ring at the other end of the Port. A wonderful time of year for families and friends to get together in such a Winter Wonderland set up.
